Even if it takes time
Even if it takes time
My Story
As a college student, I interned at a VC firm and was lucky enough to visit places like Stanford, Google, Intel, and the VCs on Sand Hill Road—an opportunity almost unheard of at the time. While these scenes are more accessible today, back then, the idea of investors and founders discussing in cafes, top law firm attorneys helping founders from Korea pro-bono, and people at Google sharing ideas over lunch was something I’d only read about. It left a lasting impression and sparked my desire to be part of the startup world.
Many years later, I was still drawn to startups. Thanks to the encouragement of those who believed in me, I embarked on a new journey at a VC firm supporting early-stage startups. Working with passionate founders has been one of the most meaningful and intense experiences of my career.
Now, four years into my journey with Klim ventures, I can look back on countless moments of inspiration and awe that I’ll cherish forever, and I look forward to the next chapters of my life with the same excitement.
Mindset
I have a deep respect for those who create products that hold profound meaning in someone’s life, even if they take years to develop or serve only a small number of customers. Building something like that demands perseverance and courage—something many aspire to, but few truly commit to.
That belief sits at the core of what we do at Klim ventures. We strive to be a long-term partner to founders—one who is willing to wait and who believes deeply in them.
When a stonemason strikes a rock, it may appear unchanged for the first hundred blows. Yet it splits in two on the hundred-and-first—not because of that final strike alone, but because of all the strikes that came before it.
I believe that breakthroughs are rarely the result of a single moment, but of the quiet accumulation of effort over time. With this belief, we stand alongside founders for the long term—patient in process, steadfast in conviction, and focused on building value that matters.
